LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Learning Objectives / Performance Objectives: what should the learner be able to accomplish after the activity? Objectives should bridge the gap between the identified need/gap and the desired result.

  1. Assess how to maximize lifelong brain health in MS by effective use of currently available DMTs.
  2. Identify the most common safety concerns with the use of immune suppressants in MS with particular emphasis on progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML).
  3. Incorporate into clinical practice the new developments in neuro-ophthalmology related to the treatment and assessment of neuromyelitis optica, traumatic brain injury, and neurodegenerative disorders including Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.
  4. Interpret and integrate findings of optic coherence tomography (OCT) of the nerve fiber layer in clinical practice.
